Can I recommend books I edited?

No, readers do not trust authors when they recommend one of their own books (even when they are the editor). You can of course feature that book on a list you create, as that is why we have the featured section.

We tested this and found readers abandon lists where authors recommend their own books or even a family member's books. The books you recommend should be personal favorites and we are on an honor system that that is the case. 

Reader trust is key.
