Is the "3 favorite reads of the year" all books read in that year or only books published in 2023?

This is for all books, no matter when they are published. 

We want to know the 3 best books you read this year, no matter when they are published.

Then, we do a lot of work behind the scenes to create a list of the “most read books in 2023” and “the most read books in 2023 that are also published in 2023.” We’ve done a lot of research, and readers want both.
